Meet the Midwife
Welcome!

While I have been drawn to anything and everything related to pregnancy and babies ever since I was little, it was my own children who created the path for me to midwifery. I attended my first birth in 1999 and started full time birth assisting in 2008, a year after my youngest baby was born. Since then, I have had the honor of serving hundreds of families all across Southeast Pennyslvania. After meeting the requirements for NARM's Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential in 2011, I began accepting clients through my own practice (previously called MotherBaby Birth Services) and chose to obtain certification in 2015. I re-certified in 2020, after a hiatus from birth work to go on a cross-country adventure with my family. As a solo practitioner, I limit the number of clients in my care who may be due at any given time to ensure I am able to best provide individualized care to each family I work with. I also regularly support other community midwives as an assistant and/or back up midwife for multiple local homebirth practices. As a homeschool mom, learning is integrated into our family's everyday life and as a midwife, that looks includes taking advantage of ongoing birth and wellness workshops and continuing education opportunities from various organizations and individuals to provide up-to-date, evidence based care to the families I serve.
